What can you pick up with it?

The dust panel makes cleaning household dust, sawdust, plaster, concrete chips, stones, sticks, wood chips, leaves, yard waste, screws, nails, cat food, dog food, human food, small toys, conventional dustpans, tools, plumbing parts, machining scraps and shrapnel, glass, pens, pencils a breeze! You can fit anything that fits onto a conventional dustpan, just more of it and with more ease.

What can’t you pick up with it?

Liquids, harsh chemicals, anything that you can’t lift, yourself, anything that is too large to fit in the curved 24”x24” area. Anything that will roll out as you lift (i.e. marbles).

Are the edges or corners sharp?

No. We have designed this product to be strong and last, safely. For your safety, it has slightly rounded corners and thin, square edges.

Is it resistant to chemicals?

It can withstand limited exposure to household cleaning products and motor oil. It is not designed to withstand any harsh chemicals. We suggest that you use caution in these cases and clean the panel off ASAP.

How sturdy is the plastic?

This really depends on how you lift the panel from the floor. If supported correctly, it can help you move quite a bit of material from one place to the other. One must use some common sense and good judgment at this point.

Is it recyclable?

Absolutely! The dust panel is made from recycled plastic that can be recycled again.

What is it made out of? Is it environmentally friendly?

The dust panel is made of a very high-quality, recycled plastic. It is made of a common and most ‘green’, environmentally friendly plastic, today. Even the scraps from manufacturing are recycled. As well, the box and any paper/instructions you received are made of 100% recycled products (this costs us 10% more than the conventional, partially recycled boxes…I can’t really explain that part). Either way, we wouldn’t have it any other way. We always encourage our customers to recycle.

How do you store it?

The dust panel can be stored in any place that allows it to be relaxed and flat (both lying down or on its’ side) and less than 130° F. It can be stored between two items, i.e. a clothes washer and clothes dryer that have a 1⁄4" of a gap between them. Do not store it around grills, stoves or ovens, or anything that reaches temperatures over 130° and/or has open flames. Try not to store it inside of a vehicle that is going to exceed 130° F.

Is it available in retail stores?

Can it break or be damaged or melt?

Like most things, it can be broken, damaged or melted. However, to avoid all of the above, do not throw or intentionally drop on its side, walk on, or place heavy objects on, or drop things onto it, or place in any conditions that could exceed 130° F. Again, we have constructed this product out of high-quality, thick plastic. Following these guidelines should insure that the dust panel lasts for years.

Any surface that is clear of debris, flat, that allows you to move debris onto the panel.
